Following the last games of the preliminary round on New Year’s Eve with Canada and Sweden as group winners, the pairings for the quarter-finals have been set.

The top eight teams, ranked 1st to 4th in their group, will play the cross-over quarter-finals on January 2. The top-seeded teams will stay at their venue in Malmö while the lower-ranked teams have to move to the other rink.

Quarter-Finals on January 2: (all times are local)

USA vs. Russia (12:00, Malmö Isstadion)
Finland vs. Czech Republic (14:30, Malmö Arena)
Canada vs. Switzerland (17:00, Malmö Isstadion)
Sweden vs. Slovakia (19:30, Malmö Arena)

Semi-Finals on January 4:

CAN/SUI vs. FIN/CZE
SWE/SVK vs. USA/RUS

Relegation Round:

Germany and Norway, the last-ranked teams of their respective preliminary-round group, will play a best-of-three relegation series with games on January 2 (11:00, Malmö Arena), January 3 (16:00, Malmö Isstadion) and (if necessary) January 5 (12:00, Malmö Isstadion).

The winner of the series qualifies for the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Toronto and Montreal, while the loser will be relegated to the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division I Group A.

Denmark is the team promoted to the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship.
